Our Philosophy at PCS
The PCS Whole-Child Philosophy
At the heart of the Premier Charter School philosophy is the belief that education is most effective when rooted in a whole-child approach to learning.
This commitment is reflected in our inquiry-based academics, our intentional work to build strong classroom and school cultures, the individualized social-emotional supports we provide, and the meaningful opportunities students have for physical activity and play.
The Four Domains of Character Development
Student experiences at PCS are grounded in the four domains of character development—moral, performance, intellectual, and civic. Our PCS philosophy toward character education is unique: rather than following a single program, we embrace a holistic approach that prioritizes authentic relationships and shared responsibility. We partner with students, families, peers, and the wider community to help learners understand the powerful impact that strong ethical values and positive character can have in every aspect of their lives.
At PCS, we hold one another accountable and celebrate each student’s growth as they become their best selves—both at Premier Charter School and beyond.
